Everett's beloved Artisans Books & Coffee has something special to celebrate. The woman and LGBTQ-owned cafe and bookstore at 1802 Hewitt Ave recently hosted an event to unveil an exciting new addition: a dedicated studio space for local artists and makers.
The expansion reflects the owners' deep understanding of what creatives need because they're artists and makers themselves. The new studio offers a welcoming space where local artists can take classes, work on projects, purchase art supplies, and enjoy delicious food and drinks all under one roof.

"We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming community space as well as promoting and supporting our local artists, artisans, makers, authors, musicians, and small batch manufacturers, providing services to assist them in finding an audience for their work," their website states.
Artisans has already established itself as a community hub, offering far more than your typical cafe. They're one of the few local spots open late (until 8pm Wednesday through Saturday), providing a cozy haven for night owls and evening gatherings. Their shelves are stocked with both new and used books, while their menu features local coffee and tea, breakfast sandwiches, lunch bites, and local alcoholic beverages. Regular live music performances, author readings, and free wifi round out the experience.
With this new studio space, Artisans Books & Coffee continues to grow as a creative hub where community members can gather, create, and connect.
